Description

Resin cast What-If conversion in 1/72 scale. Based on a 1965 Hawker Siddeley sales brochure proposing further military uses for the Dominie, this set allows you to build the Naval COD (Carrier Onboard Delivery) proposal, which at the time coincided with the development of Britain’s CVA01 aircraft carrier, which itself was later cancelled. Designed for use with the recently re-issued Airfix Vintage Classics HS.125 Dominie T.1 kit, the set includes an A frame arrester hook and In flight refueling probe as detailed in the brochure, along with new treaded wheels with accurate hub detail, and detailed engine pods to greatly improve the kit parts. Colour scheme suggestions are included however decals will need to be sourced separately.

Image shows a suggested colour scheme for a 849 Sqn options circa early 1970’s, picture of conversion parts to follow. This set was due to be released at Scale Modelworld 2020, and will be available to order over what would have been the show’s weekend.

Restocked.
